ROAR's first fundraising event provided research equipment to UAB Cancer Research Labs at the Hazelrig-Salter Radiation Oncology Center. Successful events have provided more than $2 Million to support the UAB Department of Radiation Oncology Research
Our Mission
Radiation Oncology Accelerated Research (ROAR) is a nonprofit organization and operated exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.

2026 GALA NEWS
We have received several inquiries regarding our plans for the Gala in the event of inclement weather. As of now, we intend to proceed with the scheduled plans, pending further weather updates. We will continue to monitor the forecast closely and reassess as the event approaches. If a cancellation becomes necessary, we will notify all attendees by Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
